Summary

The dynamite screen couple of Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng make magic in Needing You, a blockbuster romantic comedy from directors Johnny To and Wai Ka Fai! Andy (Andy Lau) is a womanizing sales manager at an HK electronics firm, who finds his life embroiled in office politics and gossip when he gets involved in the life of Kinki (Sammi Cheng), a kooky office lady who's emotionally daffy but genuinely delightful. Kinki is an odd, but pure-hearted girl whose weird ways initially annoy Andy. But her genuine personality and work ethic win him over, until Andy's ex-girlfriend Fiona (Fiona Leung) shows up looking to rekindle their romance. Seeing that Kinki's in the picture, Fiona gets handsome Internet mogul Roger (Raymond Wong) to distract her. Will Andy discover that he needs Kinki before it's too late?

Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng make a lovable screen couple, and directors Johnny To and Wai Ka Fai create a wildly entertaining romance with surprising style and winning comedy. Needing You was beloved by critics as well as audiences, and scored nominations at the Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Picture, Director, and Screenplay. Sammi Cheng received Best Actress nominations at both the Hong Kong Film Awards and The Golden Horse Awards for her charming, star-making performance.
